Happy Wednesday Green Teamers!

Thanks for all the support at the One Less Car and Campus Sustainability Day last Wednesday.  We had a bumper turnout for both the registration and the tabling events at the Plaza and we appreciate any and all of your efforts in participating and helping to spread the word.

Chris Cook from the College of Education has asked me to also spread the word on the need for volunteer judges for the upcoming Alachua County Region Science Fair.  Please see hers and Pam Fitzgerald’s message at the end of this email and contact Pam or Chris directly for the forms she mentions.  I did not want to include those attachments fearing that this message may not end up in many of your inboxes.

In addition, I’d like to share a sustainability job resource from the U.S. Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development , the Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium, and theDisciplinary Associations Network for Sustainability that many of you might find helpful for any undergrad or grad students looking to get into the sustainability job fields.  It is a very extensive list and could prove helpful for anyone considering any aspect of sustainability as a career:

Good Morning Colleagues-

Please share this with staff and faculty who you believe would qualify to judge or be willing to share this information with others who are. Thank you so much.

Dear Potential Science Fair Judge,

If you have been considering registering as a science fair judge, but haven't yet done so, NOW would be an excellent time to register!  Our first science fair is less than one month away - and we still have over 35 empty judges' slots JUST at that school!  District-wide, we still have 300 judges' slots to fill!

If you would like to judge, please review the attached flyer listing dates and times of fairs still needing help, the number of judges still needed at each of those schools, and judging categories.  If any of them work for you, please complete the also attached Registration Form and email it back to me.

If you have already been kind enough to register as a judge, and you have received an email from me stating that your registration was accepted/confirmed, there is no need to email me back.  I will soon be sending out confirmation packets for registered judges, but they have not gone out yet due to the large number of unfilled slots.  Rest assured that I haven't forgotten you!

Many thanks to all of you for your consideration of this request.  Please know that you really do make a difference - the fairs can't go on without enough judges!

Looking forward to hearing from YOU!

Pam
