        I just wanted to point out that our own Rob Robins made some great comments in the Gainesville Sun Opinions Section (below).  And of course, I wanted to thank him for doing so.  Great work Rob!

Benefits of biking

Thank goodness for M.P. Nolan's clarion call that all transportation in the 21st century ought to be motorized (letter, March 29). I've had it all wrong and I must confess: By biking to work I've stupidly made the air cleaner and selfishly done nothing to degrade our roads. Worse still, as a direct consequence of 20th-century actions, I've saved $20,000. Worst of all, because of all my pedaling, I still wear the same size shirts and pants at 41 as I did at 16. I am ashamed.

To make matters right, I pledge to drive my car at rush hour each day, and I encourage all those who have transgressed as I have to do the same, immediately. We'll be right there in your lane ­— the car, SUV or scooter in between you and your destination.
