Hi Green Teamers,

The end of the spring semester is upon us! We have a couple of reminder announcements for you:

Spring Greening Collection Day
Our annual collection day will fall on Wednesday, April 23. Help those in need AND go green by donating items for our annual collection drive. From 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., we will be collecting unwanted items at the O’Connell Center Parking Lot near Gate 1. This is a great opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to clean out their homes and offices at the end of the year. Please bring any unwanted personal hazardous and electronic waste, non-decaled University assets and IT equipment, school supplies, books, gently used clothing, and small household items to be donated for reuse and recycled. For more information, visit our website. Green Teams can collect materials from within the department over the next few weeks and bring them to the O’Connell Center parking lot on April 23.

Prairie Project, Application Deadline Extended
The Prairie Project at UF draws together faculty and graduate students from diverse fields across the university to learn about environmental issues and sustainability. The program kicks off with a two-day workshop that provides the foundation for the development of new courses or course materials and to build a skill set for leaders in the effort to infuse sustainability concepts into university curricula across the institution. The lectures, discussions, outdoor time, and workshop materials highlight connections among environmental dimensions of the area, the campus, and broader national and international issues of sustainability. The 2014 Prairie Project will combine the faculty and graduate fellows into a single workshop that will take place May 5-6 at Prairie Creek Lodge. Apply today!

Thanks,
Laurel
