We are pleased to announce the 2010 Google AI Challenge, an artificial
intelligence competition run by students, for students! This year's
Google AI Challenge is all about Tron. Tron is like two-player Snake,
where your objective is to box in your opponent and make him crash
into a wall or his own tail before you do!
In the Google AI Challenge, people will learn the basics of how to
write a program which plays Tron (aka light cycles). You can submit a
simple working entry and see your name on the Global Leaderboard, all
in less than five minutes.
Participants can submit their code as often as they like to watch it
play against other students' entries from around the world. The
global rankings, as well as the leaderboard for each school, are
updated in real time.
Simply visit www.ai-contest.com to get started! You can also become a
fan on Facebook by searching "Google AI Challenge" and tell your
friends about the competition!
Let's try to get the Gators on that leaderboard soon! The contest
ends Feb. 26 so hurry and submit your code!
Go Google & Gators,
Jocelyn :)
