First Meeting and Alligator Columnist

Hello!

I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing break, and now that we're back in the swing of things be sure you've made time in your busy schedule for the UF College Republicans. Our first meeting is this Thursday at 6:30pm in Reitz Union Rm 346. 

If you'd like to flyer for our first meeting at your convenience this week please let me know so I can get the flyers to you. 

Also, the Alligator is looking for a conservative columnist! Below is an email sent to me by their opinions editor:

"Hello,

I'm the new Opinions Editor at the Alligator, and I wanted to enlist your help in finding good columnists for the upcoming semester. Ideally, I'd like to have a weekly column devoted to a more conservative take on politics and another devoted to a more liberal take.

Your organization was the first to come to mind for finding a conservative voice. We're looking for someone who has the strong writing skills, time and dedication it takes to make a good columnist.

Would you mind passing the word along to your members that we're having an Open House on Friday? Students who are interested should bring in a sample of their writing and be ready to chat.
