Hello fellow College Republicans,
I would like to take this opportunity to announce the opening of applications for appointed positions. The list of positions is below and all you need to do to apply is send me a brief email explaining why you are qualified for the position and what new ideas you have for the position. All emails are due by 5:00 pm on May 20th and you will be notified shortly afterwards. Something new we are trying this year is to implement monthly projects, each with a director from the membership. This will allow for greater participation in the club and greater involvement from all members. Each event can have as many assistant directors and committee members as necessary. If there is an event idea that you have, please send them to me throughout the years. Based on the ideas we collect, we can assign the project to a month and put the planning in motion. Some ideas we have are working with the Socks for Soldiers charity and a school choice/voucher system event.
Positions:
Parliamentarian- Ensures that we follow parliamentary procedure during meetings
Director of Political Affairs- Responsible for leading political discussions at meetings and researching topics/current events
Social Chair- Plan social events for members
Service Chair- Plan service projects
Assistant Treasurer- Assist the treasurer in managing accounts. Also responsible for fundraising
Webmaster- Manage and update the website as well as regularly updating Facebook/Twitter accounts
Historian- Photograph all events/make scrapbook/photobucket/etc
Executive Ambassador- Represents CRs at other events when an executive member cannot attend
Recruitment Chair- Gets more members
Monthly Project Directors (6-8)
Most of these positions will have committee members, so if you are interested in being on a committee, please talk to either myself or the new chair of that position. Please write back with any questions.
