Hope everyone is having a good summer. Sorry I've been out of contact this week, I have been studying for a major test i just took today. Appointed positions will be announced by Tuesday. I'm forwarding an email that has the application for the Student Government Chomp the Vote Agency. Chomp the Vote is a division of Student Government that focuses on registering students to vote and increasing political participation. I think a lot of you should apply, its a good thing to do. The app is in a PDF further down the email. Secondly, our State Representative Keith Perry is looking for summer inters ASAP. The position is unpaid but he will find some work for you that you find interesting and is relevant to your major. Dear UF students,

Chomp the Vote is accepting applications for Vice Chair for the summer B term.

Now let’s get one thing straight: This is not your father’s Chomp the Vote.  This position calls for highly motivated, talented, professional individuals to form a small team that will plan a strategy for the fall to bring record success in voting participation among UF students.

Preliminary aspects of the plan include a massive advertising campaign; extensive interfacing with Student Government, student organizations, and university administration officials; integration into UF Preview; an increased Web presence; and much more.  All of this will be discussed in detail as we put our heads together and come up with a strategy that will achieve maximum success.

If you want to be a part of something great, and you feel that you have the qualifications to contribute to an ambitious plan for the fall and beyond, then please apply for this position.  Those who set themselves apart in terms of diligence and professionalism during this planning and preparation process will be most seriously considered for key positions in the fall, which will feature an entirely new organizational structure than that which has been used before.
