Dear Utah Django User's Group,
Guru Labs is organizing a developer workshop on November 6, 2014 at 4:00 pm.
We'll be talking about "Asynchronous and parallel programming in Python" and how frameworks such as asyncio (for Python 3.4), Twisted, and Celery can be used to solve interesting problems. There will probably be a comparison of the important asynchronous frameworks, the types of problems they are intended to solve, and how you can get started with them. There may be some discussion of their subtleties (for example, how Celery is really a a distributed task queue which can be used alongside other applications), and how they can be used together to greater effect. Finally, because this is a workshop, there will be examples which allow people to get their hands dirty with the technology.
The workshop will be at the Guru Labs offices in Centerville:
