Hi! [My apologies if you get this twice]

I recently learned of this great resource called HomeCares (http://www.homecares.org/) that provides gently used medical equipment (walkers, wheelchairs) for patients who cannot afford them. Even patients with insurance often struggle to get these important items paid for.

They have sites around the Bay Area (a patient of mine was able to find a nice walker at the Oakland one, which was she thrilled about!)

Feel free to share with patients and pass this info along!

That's wonderful!  Thanks, Jen.

And I'm sure everyone already knows about www.goodrx.com, but just in case... I use it ALL THE TIME for my patients, especially w/ a new diagnosis that requires medication.  You can find the cheapest meds in a certain area, print out the coupon, and boom.  The discounts are insanely awesome.  I highly recommend using this site as much as possible -- increases the chance your patients will follow-up on meds you prescribe.

Chris
