As you all know, Exam 4 is a week from Monday. It will be Monday May 13.

Exam 4 is the most difficult of the exams in this course, at least judging by the average scores in previous years. While it is still on the proof method that we did in Chapter 3, there is a LOAD of new tools -- 10 replacement rules, and the techniques of Conditional Proof and Indirect Proof.

What I would recommend, for those of you who don't already do this, is to read chapter 4 and start working on the exercises ASAP. Tonight even. Or tomorrow afternoon before class. Whatever. ASAP. Don't wait for me to lecture on anything before you start reading about it. Let the lecture (and discussion sections) be review and clarification, not the first time you encounter something. Especially for Chapter 4.

Study hard, read the chapter soon, go to sections and ask questions, and come to the TAs or my office hours.
