                        OOPSLA 2008
23rd Annual ACM SIGPLAN Conference on Object-Oriented
        Programming, Systems, Languages, and Applications

                    October 19-23, 2008
                    Nashville, TN, USA

                     Student Volunteer
                   Call For Participation

The OOPSLA conference is widely recognized as the premier gathering of
practitioners, researchers, educators, and students to share their
thoughts and experiences with object technology.

The OOPSLA Student Volunteer program is an opportunity for students from
around the world to associate with the top people in object-oriented
technology, research and software development. In return for a few hours
of their time, student volunteers receive complementary registration,
free admission to tutorials as space permits, and other benefits.

A limited number of students may receive financial support in return for
additional volunteer hours to help offset the costs incurred to attend
OOPSLA. In past years, job assignments included assisting with symposia
and panels, checking badges at doors, operating the information booth,
helping with traffic flow and other general assistance roles to keep the
conference running smoothly.

Volunteers in past years have found the Student Volunteer program to be
a rewarding way to meet and interact with students and practitioners
working in their field  of interest. We strongly encourage students to
become involved with the OOPSLA 2008 Student Volunteer program.

Applications for the OOPSLA Student Volunteer Program are now being
accepted. Further details and application information are available at:
