Hello!  I am pleased to announce that Stevenson College and the Environmental Studies Department will be offering internship opportunities this Spring Quarter for the Stevenson Garden.

The Stevenson Garden is the first college-specific garden on the East side of campus. Supported by students from all over campus and the staff and faculty at Stevenson, the garden is looking to take on 2-3 garden coordinators to keep the garden thriving.

Interns will be responsible for:
  • General management of the Stevenson Garden -- including oversight of the recently approved garden expansion
  • Attending Gardener’s Alliance Gatherings and representing the Stevenson Garden’s voice in the campus-wide garden community
  • Attending “Path To A Greener Stevenson” (PTAGS) meetings to keep student input flowing into the garden.
  • Supervise work hours at the garden site every week.
  • Coordinate with PTAGS, the other coordinator and the Garden Core
Ideal interns will have:
  • Horticultural experience
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Professional communication and organization skills
  • A strong passion for growing food and communities
  • A love to get their hands dirty and work in the earth
2-credit and 5-credits options available.
Note: 5-credit upper division options need Environmental Studies advisor.
