Bug Report: Infinite loading ("Loading available subtypes...") in Transcripts Tab

Dear UCSC Xena Team,

I am writing to report a technical issue regarding the "Transcripts" tab.

The issue occurs immediately when I click and navigate to the "Transcripts" view from the top menu, even before I enter or search for any specific gene. The page gets stuck completely on the initial loading screen with the message: "Loading available subtypes..." and becomes unresponsive.

Here are the details of my environment:

  • Browser: Google Chrome (ver. 149.0.7827.53)

  • Operating System: Windows 11

It seems like the page is failing to load. 
Could you please look into this and take appropriate measures to resolve the issue?

Dear Jin-Seok Jung,

I'm sorry but I can not reproduce your issue. 

Users typically see the message you describe when they are unable to reach the database behind the Transcript View. Are you using a VPN or is there something else that would be limiting your internet traffic? Are you able to access this website (https://xenabrowser.net/datapages/?host=https%3A%2F%2Fkidsfirst.xenahubs.net), which is where the data for the Transcript view is coming from?
