Hello,

I would like to analyze the gene expression of Nectin4 gene (ENSG00000143217) in the TCGA CHOL data set. However, I keep getting this message "None of these fields are available on all selected datasets" although the gene is in the drop-down list.  I never got this message with the other genes.

Could you please help me with that ?

Thanks in advance.

Best,
Racha

Hi Racha,

Thank you for reaching out. If you are viewing TCGA CHOL we use an older name for the gene 'PVRL4'. https://www.genecards.org/cgi-bin/carddisp.pl?gene=NECTIN4. We do not recognize Gencode gene names for these legacy TCGA datasets.

If you are viewing the GDC TCGA CHOL data, we recognize both the older name of 'PVRL4' as well as the Gencode v22 name of "ENSG00000143217.8".

Let me know if you have any difficulties.

Best,
Mary

Hi!

I am trying to analyse gene expression for hsa-miR-675 (MIR675) in the TCGA head and neck cancer dataset. The message "None of these fields are available in all selected datasets" appears even though the gene is included in the dropdown list. I have tried the same search but using GDC TCGA head and neck cancer dataset, and the same message appears. I am pretty sure that TCGA contains data on this gene expression. Can you please help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Katarina Zeeljic

Hi Katarina,

I am able to visualize "hsa-miR-675" for GDC Head and Neck https://xenabrowser.net/?bookmark=159197176f40d748ba1524400e575966. Please let me know if you are having difficulty making this visualization.

The legacy TCGA miRNA datasets need a MIMAT ID, so try using 'MIMAT0004284'. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Mary
