Help needed bout testbed

I am a final year student and i am doing project of consolidation and testing of 802.11e. for this i want to create a test bed on either hardware or software platform to run different scenarios of 802.11e and verification of its different algorithms. Could you please suggest some method about how to create a test bed?, What type of programmable hardware or software is needed to do that.

You can perform the exact same steps that are described in our testbed
website, and buy a MadWifi card that supports 802.11e (have a look at
http://madwifi-project.org/wiki/Chipsets) for the chipset that fits
best to your needs.
