Brief announcements from Life Labs

Hi folks,

A few brief announcements from the Life Labs team at UCP:

• First, we most recently attended the launch of the AbleGamers 'Accessibility Arcade' at the MLK Jr. branch of the DC Public Library. More details (and pictures!) at the Life Labs blog.
• Second, there is now a Life Labs Wiki available to the public. Consider this space "all things assistive technology." Feel free to create an account and add any AT projects you believe should be catalogued for the public to improve. Also, we are drawing up a blueprint for anyone interested in creating an accessible maker space or outfitting an existing space to be more accessible. Why not add your thoughts?
• Third, if you live in the Washington, DC area and are interested in assistive technology and accessibility, we recommend you attend the Accessibility Camp DC unconference this Saturday at the MLK Jr. Library. The Life Labs team will be at the event all day. More details here.
