About Project Compassion:
When living with illness, making sure our medical needs are being met is important. However, as days turn into weeks, months, and sometimes years, we begin to recognize there is more than just the medical side of living with illness. Our social, practical, emotional, and spiritual sides are affected as well. We are whole people who are more than an illness or a disease.
Since 2000, Project Compassion has been working to provide and create support around the areas of a person’s life that sometimes get forgotten. We have created over 300 support teams with 2,500 volunteers giving 70,000 hours benefiting 700 individuals living with serious illness and caregiving.
