Forgotten Hollow is a world introduced in The Sims 4: Vampires. The world contains only a single neighbourhood with 5 lots surrounding a central plaza, and at the center there is a memorial statue of Vlad, the founder of Forgotten Hollow.

This world is unique to other worlds in The Sims 4 because nighttime lasts much longer here than in other worlds, meaning vampires can stay out longer without the risk of being exposed to sunlight.

The small town of Forgotten Hollow has remained virtually unchanged for the four generations it has existed. All of its original town founders disappeared shortly after the town was founded. All except for Vladislaus Straud. His great grandson, Vladislaus Straud the IV, still watches over the town to this day.

The Straud Mansion is a four story, two bedroom, two bathroom mansion. The mansion is owned by Vladislaus Straud, an ancient vampire and the founder of Forgotten Hollow. The lot is secluded and overlooks the town.

With Seasons installed, spring and fall are cool and cloudy or rainy. Summer temperatures are usually warm to hot with occasional heat waves. Thunderstorms are possible in the summer. Winter temperatures range from cold to freezing with snowfall, but not blizzards. Sunny weather is uncommon in Forgotten Hollow.

Happy Vampires Day! The new vampire game pack releases tomorrow and I received a free copy of it from EA to review. So I hope I can give you some insights into the pack so you can decide whether you want to buy it.

The third one is Good Vampire, a good vampire wants to satisfy his thirst by drinking plasma packs instead of leeching on humans and wants to be friends with both vampires and humans.

The most prominent need is vampire energy. This works similarly to normal sims energy as it get replenished by sleeping (either in a bed or in a coffin). But your vampires can also use their vampire energy to unleash their supernatural powers such as mind control or super speed (more on powers below).

Vampire energy will decrease when your vampire is exposed to sunlight but apart from sleeping in can be increased again with dark meditation which gives less energy than sleeping but is also faster. So if you just need that little burst of vampire energy to cause hallucinations to your most hated neighbor, this is your go-to interaction.

Vampires and even normal sims get some special interactions with this game pack that are marked with a little bat symbol. For example normal sims can enthuse about vampires or speculate about their existence.

The pipe organ skill can be leveled up at the new pipe organ (duh) up to level 10. With sufficient skill your vampires can perform typical songs with a vampiric vibe or play haunted music. This is pretty fun as it has a unique sound to it and is different from what a sim can do with a piano. In my vampire mansions, this sets a great spooky atmosphere. Nice one!

The vampire lore skill is different from other skills in a way. It can be leveled up to level 15 and while it unlocks specific interactions for your vampires it is also kind of a tutorial for you, the player.

Of course, as a vampire, you will have to satisfy your never ending thirst for blood, or as teen rated sims call it, plasma. A vampire can drink plasma from normal sims, or plasma fruit sources but not from other vampires or aliens.

When drinking from another sim a vampire will have to use his powers to compel the sim in question to let the vampire drink. If you befriend a normal sim you can also ask them for permission to drink some plasma.

Now, what if your vampire is tired of compelling other sims for plasma drinks? What if they want to be good? Plasma packs and plasma fruit is your answer. Vampires who level up the vampire lore skill will learn how to craft various plasma supplies that work without a normal sim to drink from.

The player gets a lot of freedom to customize their vampires in terms of looks and personality. You can play the good, the evil, the neutral vampire or anything in between which I really like! The Sims 4 Vampires gives good groundwork for any vampire story you want to tell while still offering compelling gameplay and a spooky atmosphere. The new world is small but still a big plus since it adds to the overall atmosphere of the game.

Hi I want to buy the Vampire pack b/c I love the build modes as well as the wardrobe, hair, etc. I just don't want to deal with meeting vampires, becoming vampires, having a vampire bite a Sim, etc. I am sorry. I am weird. They scare me. LOL. Plus my religious beliefs pretty much forbid me from dealing with things. So can you buy these packs without having to deal with the gameplay. Is it like Stranger Things type pack where you only find the people who are reacting strangely if you go to Strangeville? Help a girl from not have nightmares.

@EmMac1066 Hi! I just wanted to add a couple things to @PoptartJuniper 's and @xochiquetzl_xkvn 's suggestions. Vampires can be eliminated manually through Manage Worlds / Manage Households. The Vampire pack adds the Forgotten Hollow world, which is inhabited by the premade vampires; Count Vladislaus Straud IV and the siblings Lillith and Caleb Vatore. You have the option to eliminate these right away, if you wish. Also, in my experience, the only one that will attempt to bite your played sims is Vladislaus. As Poptart mentioned, you can lock your door to trespassers to prevent other vampires from intruding. As for other game-generated vampires, you will only notice them if they fly as a bat (some can run really fast but I haven't noticed it for NPC sims other than Caleb and Lillith) or make their hissing noises. If you do notice them, just make a note of their name, look for them in Manage Househoulds, and delete them. Without a mod, as xochiquetzl mentioned, there's no way to prevent them from appearing in the game. However, after deleting Vladislaus, Lillith and Caleb, the chances of seeing others is limited I think.

As for the Realm of Magic pack, if you never take your sims to the Magic Realm or have them become spellcasters, you'll never even notice the spellcaster sims. Those NPCs do not do magic outside the Magic Realm, which is a semi-secret area that you can only travel to through a somewhat hidden portal or as a spellcaster. Hope this helps!

What @JonaO703 said. Caleb and Lilith come knock on your door, but if you let them in they'll chat with you and then use your computer or watch your television, lol. :D They don't sneak into your house or try to bite your Sims; Caleb has the "Good Vampire" aspiration that's all about not biting people. (Er. He's one of my favorite Sims, TBH, so you could cure him or use one of the mods I mentioned to turn him into a human if you didn't want to delete him, although it's your game and that's absolutely an option.)

Vladislaus will try to bite your Sims, but he hates witnesses. He'll leave if anyone is awake and in the area. When the pack was first released he would break into your house, then he stopped for the longest time, and now he's started again. It's honestly more of a nuisance, though; he doesn't kill anyone. He drinks blood, leaves the victim passed out on the floor, and leaves, and the victim wakes up tired and with a sore neck. My tent-dwelling Sim had no door to lock, so i had her just be nice to him and he left her alone and even called her and invited her over to offer to turn her into a vampire (she declined; she's all about that outdoorsy life). So even Vlad isn't that scary.

Usually when a sim first moves in somewhere, they will get a text message sometime after 10pm from Vlad acting like a creeper and telling him they have a nice neck and then...nothing. If he does show up, he usually just wants to sit and watch TV.

I do see Lilith and Caleb around more often, but if you didn't know they were vampires, you couldn't tell from their interactions - especially Caleb. As @xochiquetzl_xkvn already mentioned, he's just a sweetheart who wants to hangout and play computer games.

@Slytherclaw72 Hi! You make some excellent points. I realize what I'm about to share is straying a bit from the original question and I apologize for that. If you actually want Vlad to break in and attack your sims, try sending him home when he knocks on the door and then have all your sims go to bed. It doesn't happen every time but I think the game establishes a "bed time" around then and will have Vlad come back at some point. He will not attempt a break-in if any sims are awake, which @xochiquetzl_xkvn also mentioned. I've actually seen him come back and leave right away without knocking. Basically, sending your sims to bed shortly after his initial visit will send a message, so to speak, that Vlad has a window of opportunity.

@Slytherclaw72 Yes, so the better option would be to note what time Vlad comes knocking and send your sims to bed before the time he normally comes. As long as all sims are sleeping when he comes, he will likely break in and feed. Again, straying from the original question, sorry.

The Sims 4: Vampires is the fourth game pack of The Sims 4 franchise and offers a dark and mysterious twist to the traditional Sims gameplay. Released on January 24, 2017, it introduces a new occult species to the game - vampires. Players can create their own vampire Sims and explore a world filled with eerie mansions, hidden secrets, and supernatural powers. With the ability to turn other Sims into vampires, players can create their own vampire clan and rule over the night. This pack offers a unique experience for players who are drawn to the mystical and supernatural elements of gameplay.

In Vampires, players will experience a supernatural focus as they delve into the world of immortal creatures. While it doesn't have a direct predecessor, it builds on previous packs like The Sims 3: Supernatural and The Sims 2: Nightlife. The game pack provides players with a unique way to live their Sims' lives as vampires, with various abilities and interactions that allow them to immerse themselves in a dark and mysterious world. Players can create their own vampire Sims, complete with custom powers, weaknesses, and personalities. They can then use their powers to hypnotize other Sims, drink their blood, and even transform into bats or mist. Additionally, the pack includes new objects and clothing items that are perfect for creating a gothic and spooky atmosphere. In comparison to expansion packs, game packs offer fewer features, but Vampires provides a rich and immersive experience for players who love supernatural themes.
