Weekly and General Body Meetings, Shakes and Sweets for Syria, Jummah Cleaning

Hope you've all had a nice weekend and are hanging in there with your classes! I just have some quick updates for you all below.

Weekly Meeting

As I stated in the last email, there is a meeting in the masjid at 8pm every Tuesday for those wishing to be more involved in the MSA's event and activity planning. Come to get more involved!

Shakes and Sweets for Syria

Come and tell your friends about the fundraiser that the MSA will be holding at the entrance of the library on Wednesday, April 17, from 12-5pm. All money will go towards alleviating the crisis in Syria. 

The milkshakes will be $4 each, and the four flavors available will be chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and nutella.

General Body Meeting

This Thursday, April 18, at 6pm, there will be a general body meeting in the masjid on MSA board elections. The roles of each position will be described, and current board members will share their experiences with their respective positions. 

Anyone interested in running for a board position should definitely attend! You are also encouraged to come if you would like to know more about any given position. 

Jumm'ah Cleaning

Simply put, the masjid needs cleaning---and a lot of it. Therefore, we've decided that this Friday, April 19, after Jumm'ah prayer (~ 2pm), we will all take some time to clean the masjid. Come, bring a friend, and join us to help give Allah's home the dignity and cleanliness it deserves (and earn many good deeds in the process, in sha Allah ;) ).
