السلام عليكم
The Muslims Students Association presents two new, free classes: 1. Who was Muhammad? and 2. The Three Fundamental Principles of Islam.
1. Who Was Muhammad?
In recent news, an inappropriate and inaccurate film depicted our beloved prophet as someone he was not. This class is a brief discussion on the life and lessons of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Come Wednesday, October 17, to learn who he really was.
This class will be held every Wednesday from 6:15 to 7:30pm in Monteith 209. Please bring your questions!
2. The Three Fundamental Principles of Islam
Each Friday evening, at 5 p.m., Shaykh Ibrahim will be teaching a brothers-only class in the masjid (ICUC) on the three fundamental principles of Islam.
Other Updates
- For those who would like to get more involved in the MSA, we suggest that you attend board meetings in addition to the general body meetings. Our next board meeting is Thursday, October 18, at 5:30 p.m., downstairs in the masjid (ICUC).
- Want more ways to get involved? The MSA now has several committees which any MSA member can join to work on certain projects/goals. These include Da'wah committee, marketing committee, and more! We will send another email soon with more information.
- Remember, the Battle of the MSAs event is on Saturday, November 3rd, at Wesleyan University. For more info, click here for the Facebook event page. Also, feel free to reply to this email if you'd like to go but may need help getting a ride from one of us.
That's all for now! Stay tuned for more updates.
