Dear colleagues

Pl clarify.

1. While uploading signature in LDIMG, we put the file name.txt, then F4 and in the next screen, the message appears:
     no of records inserted
     no of records with error
     next line:

do you want to overwrite(Y/N) , when we put here Y, it takes time for the next screen , if we put N, the next screen immediately appears.
What is the correct procedure? What is this? I think Sankar can tell this properly.
2. While doing TTUM, the bottom line says: rename the file after input: Y /N, what is to be done here? For what purpose it is used?

1. In the first case of LDIMG one should opt for "N" i.e."No" at that stage, as the finacle is asking the user whether you like to transfer the image file from UNIX server i.e. production server to your PC. As we, have our original image file in our signcap folder, it is not necessary to take again a copy of that file from UNIX server which we just now have sent through LDIMG menu. It will only kills your time.

2. While you are running TTUM in Trial mode you should not Rename the file i.e. Rename file option should be "NO". If the Trial Run is successful then we have to make Actual Run by giving option P or E. So in case we will rename the file (i.e. at UNIX server) at the time of Trial Run, the TTUM command will unable to search the file you have sent as the same has been renamed by you. So never put "Y" in case of Trial Run.

At the same time you should put "Y"  in case of  Actual Run. As it eliminates the possibility of running the file twice. Suppose you have put Rename option : "N" at the time of actual run, the TTUM will credit / debit the accounts perfectly but the same file is existing with the same name in the UNIX server after execution. So if you wrongly run the TTUM again giving the same file name, then the command  will get executed again which will result in double credit or debit.

With Regards
