I'm very excited to announce that UCLUG's 2026-Sept-08 meeting at
18:30 will be our friend Allen Vailliencourt talking about Tailscale
at OpenWorks:

Abstract/title:

Want to level up your remote access but don't want to configure
native WireGuard, then consider Tailscale.

Description:

Ya'll, it's 2026. Time to level up your remote access to your
homelab, work, and side projects. We'll jump into a quick What is
Tailscale, but more importantly, why you should be using modern
identity-based connectivity for all your network access. Whether
you're brand new to Tailscale or want to learn more then coming to
UCLUG next week is your ticket to learn more!

This is a reminder that UCLUG meets tonight at OpenWorks and on Jitsi
at 18:30. Allen Vailliencourt will be talking about Tailscale!

I'm afraid I won't be able to attend, so I need a volunteer to run the
meeting, making sure that the Jitsi is connected (needs at least 1
Google account) and waiting for Ben in Columbia to stream to YouTube,
which starts the recording.

Thanks to Allen for giving a fantastic presentation! Tailscale is a textbook example of how a talented, security-conscious programmer can scratch an itch with 2400 lines of open source code and have it turn into a $100 million company.
