I haven't heard from the person who originally said they would be able
to talk on Tuesday, but luckily, Andrew has stepped in!

Andrew will be talking about Department of Defense (DoD) Information
Technology (IT).

He said it may be shorter than our full meeting time, so be sure to
have questions ready for him, or even questions about Linux and Open
Source in general. This will be a great time to socialize with
everyone.

If you can't attend in-person at OpenWorks:

OpenWorks
101 N Main St, Suite 302
Greenville, SC
(Enter from 3rd floor of Richardson Street Parking Deck, see
https://joinopenworks.com/guest-access)

then please join us live online along with ColaLUG , the Columbia SC
Linux User's Group (https://colalug.blogspot.com), on Jitsi:

Feel free to sign up if you like at:

Hey, everyone! I got a message from Ben, leader of ColaLUG, who will
be adding additional info after Andrew's talk:

> I will definitely use the rest of the time to expound on Platform One vs the rest of the DoD, the drama with Nicholas Chaillan, and less.

I hope to see everyone at OpenWorks tomorrow night, or at least on the Jits!

Here's some links I showed during the presentation:

Platform One: https://p1.dso.mil/
Big Bang gitlab:  https://repo1.dso.mil/big-bang
Big Bang github (a copy of the gitlab): https://github.com/DoD-Platform-One/bigbang
Big Bang Slack Universe: https://join.slack.com/t/bigbanguniver-ft39451/shared_invite/zt-2xwkfah5f-Qeb~SZRS1XWNnruSn5_76g (I didn't show this but I should have. Good place for support.)

Nicholas Chaillan
- LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nicolaschaillan/
- Goodbye: In goodbye message, Chaillan unloads his frustrations over DoD’s technology culture, processes

I forgot to talk about Big Bang documentation, which is so good, it's almost too much. They use the open source mkdocs software. It uses markdown format.

Big Bang releases every two weeks and has excellent release notes.

Correction: Since I left the team, they have added 5 packages to their package list. So now they have 42, lol.
