I go the cogsworth kit from inventr.io and has a audrino on it .. your input ??

The Audrino can only be programmed with C/C++ and has no operating system, but it is a nice start for getting into small projects like sensors, motors, LEDs, or other hardware components. I would recommend the Raspberry PI as well as you can use many languages to make command scripts and run you can Linux! (Since this is the Linux group) Enjoy!

I am planning for a  Pi before the year is our… . the offer on fb for the aet I got was around $7 shipping and the unit was free.
