However it will be quite geared towards "how you can become a member", and at present (this year at least) membership is only open to current UCL staff and students. We do however have a whole programme of events and activities planned that everyone is welcome to attend, UCL or not.

The Institute of Making will be doing a round of test inductions with groups of potential members, to iron out any kinks in the joining and induction process. We'd very much like some of those beta testers to be the original makespacers.

Can I have an email from anyone on this list who is willing and able to attend our test session on the afternoon of Friday 8 March - I'd like to gauge interest before booking y'all in. Send me your name, department/position, UPI number and contact details.

You will become our first members!

We're re-writing the website right now, so by the time these inductions happen, the membership process and the availability of machines etc will all become much clearer.
