Just wondering what's going down this half term?  As far as I know the pitching didn't really happen, so I guess the program is empty?

Cheers,

Charlie

I've handed over comms for MakeSpace to the new MakeSpace staff, so I'm just a punter now. However as the last vestiges of my power ebb, I can give you this update (from the facebook, think the mailing list got overlooked):

Executive decision to shelve pitching sessions due to not having a lot of interest, and instead have one end of term spectacular and a swinging new term in the new space.

UPCOMING:

Tasty spoons and drinkable clouds: the art of engineering
 5th Dec:

In this one-off event,

Mark Miodownik, co-founder of the UCL Institute of Making in London, and David Edwards, founder and director of The Laboratory in Harvard University and Le Laboratoire in Paris

discuss their different approaches to bridging disciplines and fostering creativity, and showcase some of the tastier ideas that have emerged from their work — including cutlery that alters the flavour of meals, cocktails that come enclosed in their own skin, and treats that aren’t swallowed, but inhaled.

Making Merry
12th Dec:

MakeSpace Christmas Session...

Save the date: Making Merry with the Institute of Making - Wednesday 12 December, 6-9pm in the Engineering Café.

If you had an idea for our ‘Dragon’s Den’ pitching session, or any other things you want to make let us know, it’ll also be a good chance to get together and share making plans for when we officially open the space in March.
