Films, poetry, exhibition: Save Carpenters Estate!
UCL student union cafe has been host this past months to an exhibition
on Carpenters Estate. The exhibition incorporates photography and text
created by UCL students about UCL Management's plans to build a new
campus on the site, after bulldozing the existing council estate with
a close-knit community who are opposed to the plans.
For the CLOSING NIGHT on Friday 15th Feb, join us from 6pm in the
Print Room cafe for:
- Film screening of "Columbia Revolt" (1968, 50 minutes long)
- Spoken word poetry and acoustic music (including the Ruby Kid)
- Hear from residents involved in CARP (Carpenters Against
Regeneration Plans), the local community group opposed to UCL's plans.
The party will be in the Print Room Cafe, so there will be food and
drink available.
