The English Defence League (EDL) are planning on assembling at Downing Street at 3pm tomorrow in order to capitalise on the wave of Islamaphobia and racism after the Woolwich attacks. On Saturday, 2,500 people were 'attending' on the EDL's facebook event. As it's a Bank Holiday, and might be sunny, there's a chance that most of them will actually turn up.
It's vital that we mobilise a large counter-demo, to show them and anyone watching that racism will be opposed on our streets, in our workplaces and in our homes.
Unite Against Fascism are saying assemble at Downing Street at 2pm. As we don't know what the police will be doing - it's possible they won't let anyone on Whitehall, for instance - come with a friend.
