spent a lot of time in front of your computer studying thousands of

you think, "Hmm, how do THEY know!?" Well, we lived in the heart of
Shaolin Village for 1 year and trained very hard. With this Website we
want to discover some secrets and tell you about the myth of Shaolin.
Anyone of us, who loves martial arts, has seen thousends of Bruce Lee,
Jackie Chan and Jet Li movies and is dreaming of having the same
skills. Maybe some of you joined a martial arts association and tried
hard to learn the art of self-defense. But a little later on you are
willing to improve your skills and there is only one place where you
can learn the real gung fu: the origin of all kinds of martial arts -
Shaolin.
Training in Shaolin means to survive a hard training and to accept
missing. None of us had trained 8 hours a day and 6 days a week
before. Each student must be willing to train far beyond his pysical
border.
The first weeks of training are like hell. Each step and each movement
means unbelievable pain, however the coach seems to show no
consideration. But not only the training is demanding. Temperatures of
30 degrees Celsius and the native unusual food is a difficult
challenge for each non-chinese body. Foreign medicine helps only in
few cases. Just a few schools have toilets where everyday hundreds of
Chinese settle down at the same time. As a special privilege some
coaches permit the foreign students digging a hole in a small forest.
Your English is perfect? Maybe you are even a native speaker... well,
it does not matter at all! It won't help you a bit! In Shaolin there
is one chinese translator in each Kung Fu school, who thinks to know
the fundamental ideas of the English language (The English of many
Chinese isn't very well.). The amount of people who can speak
understandable English is really small, believe me. You should know
that the entire training and the whole communication in Shaolin (food
supply, bus, Souvenirs, doctors and so on) will take place in Chinese
language!!!
A lot of foreigners give up within the first weeks because the
training is too hard for them. Foreigners who paid the money for the
school for one year in advance don't get their money back. It will be
the same if you become ill. You won't get your money back!
If you become more and more interested and the poor circumstances are
no problem for you, you will experience an unbelievable adventure. The
only thing that you need is an iron will!
Women are also crazy enough to go there and survive the training!!!
