Dear UCLA June 2013 Nursing Graduates:

In preparation for your upcoming Kaplan NCLEX Review Course, you need to log in and complete the Diagnostic Test. Below are important instructions for how to access the test and ensure a successful testing experience:

Take your Diagnostic Test at home on your own before your NCLEX Review starts (and remediate to solidify your content base).  The Diagnostic Test is a take-home test currently available to you in the Green Integrated Testing box on your homepage.  The test should be taken in one sitting, so please make sure to set aside appropriate time.  It has 180 questions, and you have 216 minutes to complete the test.  Once you begin, you will not be able to suspend, so DO NOT hit Quit until you have completed the test. The Quit button will immediately close and score your test.

Before your class starts, also be sure to:

•           Remediate the Diagnostic Test to solidify your content base.

•           Review the “Review of Content” section containing online lectures to fill in any gaps in your knowledge base so you can focus on the strategies in class.

•           Take Question Trainers 1-3 to redirect your studies to any remaining content issues you detect through these practice tests.

Our student surveys show that students who pass the NCLEX on their first attempt complete the following:

•           All the Question Trainers (#7 is the most NCLEX-like of all the tests)

•           At least 90% of the QBank Questions using the timed mode

•           Review of the rationales for all these questions to build test taking skills

The NCLEX-RN Review Class will cover strategies and teach you to approach the higher level questions in the best way to ensure success on test day. We know that with the proper preparation and the excellent nursing school instruction you have already experienced, you will be successful on your exam and ready to begin your exciting new career very soon!

If you have any questions about content or the test itself, please don’t hesitate to use our tutorial service:  NCLEX-...@kaplan.com Our staff of experienced nurse educators will guide you through the process.  Kaplan Nursing is with you every step of the way.

Best wishes from your integrated support service team at:  integrate...@kaplan.com
