Real Estate Interns (2 positions) – AssetAvenue, Los Angeles
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Review and underwrite potential loan opportunities
- Conduct due diligence on the property, market, borrower profile, and financials
- Perform underwriting to evaluate the financial feasibility of the transactions
- Coordinate with brokers, capital partners, and other third-party vendors
- Participate in negotiations on fees and structure
- Assist with preparing investment credit memos for both internal and investor purposes
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Currently pursuing BS degree in real estate finance or related technical field
- 2+ years of real estate finance experience with a leading firm
- Commercial real estate experience preferred
- Quantitative and computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required)
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners
- Proactive and comfortable with entrepreneurial environment with a strong interest in the real estate lending market
- Superior organizational skills and great follow through on tasks
- Be a problem solver at heart with a genuine interest in helping
