What is Knapp?
- Knapp is a business plan competition for new ventures. Student-run,
it is now in its 28th year.
- It is an opportunity for UCLA grad students to partner with alumni
and members of the greater LA community in an intensive learning
experience in the venture initiation process.
- The competition is judged by professional investors and veterans in
entrepreneurial management (including VC, PE, CEOs, Anderson
professors, and angel/individual investors).
- Over 40 plans submitted last year, 5 finalists are selected.
- Over $26,000 in prize money
What is a Knapp Roadshow?
- Knapp Roadshow is an information sessions tailored to the students
of other UCLA Schools
- It is an opportunity for graduate schools to get insight from
Anderson students and last year’s competition participants on how the
competition works, how to pitch your idea and how to find a good
team.
What You Need to Do
- Bring your questions if you:
- are unsure what it is about
- want to see if your idea is qualified
- are looking for a team -- the competition requires 2-6 members, with
at least one Anderson student
- Bring your appetite – yes, we provide food!
