The Colorado School of Mines' 8th Continent Project (8C) will award a zero-gravity flight and $50,000 in cash and services to the winner of the 2009 8C Business Plan Competition.

This annual competition challenges university students from around the world to collaborate in creating business plans that use space-derived technology to achieve immediate Earth-based applications.
The deadline for entries is Feb. 6, 2009.
Prizes for the winning team include $50,000 in cash and in-kind professional services, plus a flight for two in the Zero Gravity Corporation's aircraft. Final rounds will be held April 24-26, 2009 on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado.
