Hi Everyone:
The Technical Entrepreneur's Community (TEC) is pleased to announce 2 events coming up:
1- The Tech Coast Angels (TCA) will be holding a screening session. TEC in conjunction with TCA would like to offer you E-grads two seats to be there.
Where: UCLA Anderson School
When: Friday Mar 06, 2009 (9:30am - 12:30pm)
This is a great opportunity for students, faculty, researchers, etc. to observe start-ups pitch their ideas to experienced investors (TCA). Listen to the questions TCA asks the presenters, and then hear what the TCA thinks about the presentations and investment opportunities. The session consists of four groups of entrepreneurs who are given the opportunity to pitch their ideas. Each venture's screening consists of a twenty-minute power point presentation followed by a ten-minute Q&A. After all groups have presented, the angels adjourn to a members only lunch, where the ventures are discussed and investor interest is gauged. You will be joining the TCA for Lunch as well!

2- In-house Counsel
Where: EGSA Graduate Student Lounge [2438-B Boelter Hall]
When: Wednesday, Mar 11, 2009 (4:30 pm - 6:00 pm)
What: In House Counsel is a one-on-one intellectual property (IP) legal counseling program offered free of charge to graduate students in Engineering. Mr. Marshall A. Lerner of Kleinberg & Lerner, LLP (www.kleinberglerner.com) has graciously volunteered to offer YOU a 30 min counseling session on your specific IP issues.
