Lux Capital VC Office Hours

When: Tuesday July 22 (4:30-6:30pm)

Where: Boelter Hall 2438B

What: 

Are you interested in starting a company to commercialize your research? Are you interested in pursuing a career in venture capital?

Sign up to spend 30 minutes one-on-one with a venture capitalist who can give you advice as to how to go about funding and building your new venture.  Please send a short paragraph describing your project, how/why it is unique/special, and your vision of a company that leverages this technology from a market perspective to psis...@gmail.com and cc shahin....@luxcapital.com.

Please choose one of the following sessions

A: 4:30-5:00

C: 5:30-6:00

Note: Students and researchers are encouraged to limit technical discussions to what has been already published in the literature (i.e., conferences and journals).

Bio: Shahin is an associate with Lux Capital, focusing on investments in semiconductor, wireless, and alternative energy technologies. Before joining Lux, Shahin held technical positions at General Motors and several Silicon Valley technology startups. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science with College of Engineering Honors from the University of California at Berkeley, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Management from the University of California at Los Angeles. Shahin has also served as a postdoctoral scholar at the UCLA department of Electrical Engineering and has performed research in the areas of MEMS, analog integrated circuit and embedded systems design.
