Dear Carla and Nazreena,

I hope you are both doing well!

Attached is the MOU we worked on at today's meeting. Below are some comments that the subcommittee collectively wrote about the MOU revisions we made:

One component that we discussed was the CPR trainings. As reflected in the MOU, we would be happy to show the CPR video and promote on-campus CPR trainings. However, we think the full CPR training is a little outside the focus of the hypertension subcommittee. We encourage you to contact Mario Enriquez cposae...@CPO.ucla.edu, the head of the Student Risk Education Committee for next year. He attended our meeting and is open the Student Risk Education Committee collaborating with AHA to provide CPR trainings.

Also, as reflected in the MOU, we look to the AHA to provide trainers for the hypertension trainings. We are very grateful for the trainers the AHA has provided us in the past. We understand scheduling can be difficult and we will work hard to accommodate trainers schedules.

Thank you,

Rio

Hello Carla and Nazreena,

I hope both of you had a great summer, as UCLA is back in session again we will be beginning our Hypertension Trainings again for the school year. We will be planning to have trainings this quarter on October 15th, October 22nd, and November 11th, each from 6-9pm. As we established in the MOU we as the Hypertension subcommittee would be able to contact the Downey Adult School or other Health Professionals to help facilitate our trainings, but as our first scheduled training on October 15th is coming up very soon if we're unable to have them come we would be able to facilitate the training as directors.

I would also like to follow up again on the revisions for the MOU that we made back at the end of May, as there were some comments we had regarding some changes like the CPR trainings.

Thank you, and hope all is well!

Sincerely,

Benjamin Shea
