For those of you in the Digital Workshop, this discussion thread is a
place to ask questions and hopefully get meaningful responses.

If you want to be able to see your bitmap reference in a perspective
view, do the following:

1: Place a bitmap (CMD: backgroundbitmap) in the orthographic viewport
of your choice (ie. front, top, etc.)
2: Right click the viewport name in the top left> go to 'Set View'>
change view to 'Perspective'
3: Your bitmap should now show up in the perspective view.

Unfortunately, it would seem that you can only place one bitmap
reference in each viewport.

Even Better:

Try the pictureframe command. Then you can use multiple views
simultaneously in any viewport. See Example:

so I'm struggling with making a water tight blend. for the heck of it
I'm trying to make a coffee mug because its easy but also because it
has some tricky spots like where the handle joins to the mug part. I
got the handle to mug part in an hour but I keep getting gaps when I
try to blend the handle shape to the mug shape.....
ideas?

anyone figured out a way to deal with the singularities that occur as
you try to make a smooth blend around the corner of an object?
I can't really explain my question better than that. see:
"loft_lost.3dm"
in the files section and you'll see what I'm trying to do.... I can't
get those shapes to merge but I feel like they should be able to.

anyone around a v-ray expert? Everything I do in v-ray through rhino
turns this weird shade of blue and I can't seem to make it go away?!?
I changed the GI skylight to pure white which is what the help said to
do but my images are still blue.....

thanks,
