This exciting National Science Foundation Fellowship is intended to
improve the science communication, teaching, and public outreach
skills of science and engineering graduate students, while improving
science and engineering education in public schools. Throughout a
summer and academic year, Fellows will work with master science
teachers at local schools in the Los Angeles and Culver City areas in
developing and implementing hands-on, inquiry-based activities related
to their research and the local environment. Fellows will also attend
seminars at UCLA addressing issues in science and engineering

Twelve-month Fellowship: July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012 - Stipend:
$30,000 plus tuition and fees (up to $10,500)
Requirements: PhD student (science or engineering), US citizen or
permanent resident status
