Dear Friends and Partners,
The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) is pleased to announce its 2013 Business Case Competition. We invite your student teams to compete for $70,000 in scholarship cash prizes. Three finalist teams will present their business cases to a panel of judges to determine final rankings.
The Executive Leadership Council is a national organization comprised of current and former African-American CEOs and senior executives at Fortune 500 and equivalent companies. The ELC’s related charitable organization, the Executive Leadership Foundation, supports education programs and provides scholarships to deserving students interested in business and corporate careers.
ELC's Annual Business Case Competition was established in 2002 and this year our sponsor is the Exxon Mobil Corporation which has provided generous support for the past four years. To date, more than 270 student teams from colleges and universities across the country have participated, including teams from the University of Pennsylvania, University of North Carolina, Harvard University, Emory University, Howard University, Dartmouth College, the University of Michigan and the University of Houston’s C. T. Bauer College of Business, our 2012 first place winner.
The Executive Leadership Council’s 2013 Business Case Competition is open to African-American graduate business students. Teams may consist of up to five business students, the majority of whom are African American (born in the U.S. or U.S. citizens) at accredited two-year graduate business schools. Teams must be led by African-American team captains.
Attached please find our brochure for this year’s competition. Online registration is open now. Team captains are responsible for registering the full team and may register at http://goo.gl/A5CSL until February 5, 2013.
