Mumbai VFS office??

Hey Guys,

Those who had thr VI at mumbai, can you please tell me where the VFS lounge is located? I first have to go to the lounge and then they will take me to the consulate correct? I will be traveling by train from kandivili to mahalaxmi but after that I donno where VFS is located.

The VFS lounge is bang opposite to the mahalaxmi temple(bhulabhai desai road)
From there they will take you to the embassy...

Hey Siddharth..
Sorry for the late post.

The Mumbai Consulate requires you to submit your documents a minimum 3
working days before your interview.
The documents required are:
->DS 156,157,158 forms in original (DS 156 printed back to front)
->SEVIS fee receipt
->photocopy of passport 1st n last page n remarks page if any made
->Blue Receipt from HDFC
->Confirmation of appointment.
->Copy of the I-20.

N, plz affix a photograph taken w/o spectacles,if u have 'em...they
didnt allow mine taken with specs.
Also, VFS center allows you to take only ur folder inside, no bags
allowed.

Btw, when is your interview date?

Thanks for the info. My interview is on the 24th of June. So we dont get a locker or something in VFS to keep our cell phones either? I remember being to the chennai VFS centre last year for my business Visa they had lockers I believe.

To avail the lounge service do I have to notify them before or I can just walk into the VFS center that morning and avail it?

You have to buy coupons when you go to submit your docs... Even if you did not buy the coupons at that time,they allow you to buy them on the spot if you turn up at the VFS office...
