Hi Hrishikesh and abhinav

I have booked my ticket along with you guys on the 31 st morn(30 th
night). I wanted to know how many of us are travelling together?.
There is a field in the ISA form online which asks us to list the
names of others if we are travelling as a group. Thats why. Have you
guys filled out the form?

FYI... I am not traveling with you guys... caz I am already in USA
for past two years and have already graduated this June with MS-
IS :)
As Abhinav mentioned .. you can enter few names from the group you are
traveling with..no need for whole roster.

Also it seems from this year ISSO is direclty coordinating the pickup
from airports with ISA .. so that you folks feel more welcomed than
just out ISA desi junta welcoming you :P

Thanks for the help. Did the ISA people contact u after u filled the
form? I mean is there any separate form for airport pick up as this
form was for the temporary accomodation.

Ok. I didnt know that you were a senior. I know of a rishikesh who ha
secured an admission for MS IS this fall. I know him by acquaintance.
Could you tell me what all things are available at a cheaper price in
the uS? I want to know what things to carry from India? I mean woollen
clothing? utensils? books? could you guide me about that?

Hi i read your posts on the IDP. How many days does it take to get an
IDP done? Also do need anything elseapart from our passport copy and
Driver's license copy?

It usually takes a day or two to get the IDP, you may wanna confirm with your local RTO. You just need a copy of the passport, visa and drivers license..

You dont need to get winter stuff caz it doesnt work in snow.. so u
need to buy winter stuff over in US itself...
Almost all stuff is available over here but just bit pricey for
newbies... so get basic stuff ... Also as mentioned by me get
textbooks from India if possible... USA edition are bit on higher end

@karthik..the ISA has not contacted anyone I believe after the forms have been filled...We just need to wait for some more time...Will update everyone as soon as I receive any communication from their side...As Sid has mentoined,IDP takes maximum 2 days,but make sure the address on your passport and your DL are the same...I had to get this changed and hence it is going to take 4-5 days for me....
