Hi abhinav

Yes i too received the pick up form mailed by ISA. I had written an
email to ISSO regarding this last week. They said that they will send
all the international students an email addressing the pick up, temp
accomodation ,orientation and other things next week. But they did not
do so until now. Thats the email ISA guys were talking about. The
following was what the ISSO said in the email

"*ISSO* in a few days all newly admitted students will be sent an
email about scheduling a check-in, orientation, airport pickup, etc.
Please pay close attention to your email, including your UC email."

So we have to wait patiently for the email.

Hey,

Has anyone received an email from the ISSO on the UC email ID? I has asked an ISA sec Ronnie and he replied saying the ISSO director sent him an email in which he says all students have been sent an email on the Bearcat email server. I just checked mine but I dont have any email from them.

I didnt get a UC email ID in my mail either. So I called up the ISSO helpline 513-556-4357. I then told them my Student ID number (starting with Mxxxxxxxx) and asked them to tell my UC email ID and password . They asked me for the last four digits in my SSN. I told them I havent applied for one yet...then they took a lot of time, asked my full name and DOB and finally gave it.

Quick question: did any of you change ur bearcat online account to Uconnect account?

Hey guys just wanted to update those who didnt receive an email from ISSO.

I had sent an email from my UC account to Internation...@uc.edu querying about the receipt of the email. I finally received the email from ISSO which gives details of scheduling the check in once we reach cincinnati and also the link to the airport pickup.

I suggest you guys go ahead and send them an email if you havent recieved one already. In case you guys want then I can may be paste the content of the email which I received over here, its a generelised email anyway.

Regards,

Siddharth

Guys I m bit confused here. The Student ID that Chaitanya is talking about I believe is UCID. But in order to obtain UCID(as mentioned in orientation letter), we need to login to the the website using our username and password. So guys can any one of you tell me how to get UCID??

Also what is another student ID (Apart from UCID)??  Is it same to wat we used while ordering for express delivery?? (SEVIS number I believe.)

Thnx

@Mritunjay Sharma :
I dunno how to set it straight, but here's what I think:
The ID (Student ID or UCID is probably the same ) is the one which
starts with 'M' and then has 8 numbers. Its the number with which you
requested ur i20 package through eshipglobal.
Now, apparently this number would be found while searching through the
numerous initial emails received from cincinnati ( some email
confirming that u applied to the college, etc..) HOWEVER i had a
problem with that too, cudnt find the email :D So try ur luck and
search ur email history for all UC emails.
But if u also cant find it, then you can log back into your
eshipglobal account and review ur order history. In the order details
of the UC i20. u can find your UCID. Just call up the ISSO helpline
with this number. CALL, dont email, its much faster and forces them to
reply immediately. If u didnt use eshipglobal, i guess it isnt a
problem if you call up the helpline, first ask them for ur UCID by
giving some registration details which ull find in ur initial
conversations with UC ( like student registration numbers or
something), then call again and repeat the above process for the
bearcat email.

Correct me if i'm wrong ppl, not sure of this :)

Cheers,
Chaitu

@Chaitu:
I remember using my SEVIS number while ordering for my I-20. That time, I recevied a mail from Gregory Williams where he mentioned School Code and My SEVIS number. So I used that number only. It worked then.

@all
Please throw some light into this.

Chaitanya is right. The UC Student id is the official student id
number of a student at the university. All your records would be
maintained under that. O mean your grades, Its like a roll no or a id
for you. It would be given as a id card to every student and is
required while registering for courses and all other academic
activities.

Yes, I too ordered my I 20 using eshipglobal and the important field
in it was this UC student Id no. I too used it to order my I 20 using
DHLservice. The student ID no is of the format MXX-XX-XXXX.

@ Mritunjay

Imp: Your social security number is the number that came with your
admission offer letter. Check that pdf. There is a number below your
address line on the document which is a temporary Social security
number. There are a lot of forms that ask for the last 4 digits of that
number.
Keep a track of that too.
You dont require to call them. Dont worry. Follow these steps.
1)http://www.onestop.uc.edu/
Go to the link above.
2)On left side there is a link called "Get my UCID" under My
information.
3)Click on it and login using your central login. (student id given to
you by UC in your email) and password that you changed or if not,
whose format is mentioned on the login page.

If you forgot your password too you can get it changed by answering a
question and getting a new password emailed to your regular email
account. Also you can email to ISSO and they are pretty quick in
replying too. I got mine through the above link as well as by sending
an email to ISSO. They replied that very night.

Its better to keep your student Id number with you.

@KP:

I finished searching everywhere. I couldn't find my student ID. I searched all the 6 PDFs that we received from University and was unable to find both Student ID as well as Temperory Social Security Number. Also I checked all the mails that I got from them till now. Couldn't find anythin usful there as well. (I am feeling left alone like they forget about mailing me)

I am talking about my gmail id and not from UC mail id(as I dont have one).

I only have the Sevis number with me. Should I go ahead and call them?

Someone help.

Dude relax, the helpline will tell you what to do, they're very
helpful. Just ask all these doubts to them. They'll ask you basic
questions regarding what info you have and will provide you with the
rest. Try calling them up. 513-556-4357

@ Mritinjay

Relax man. You have a lot of time till your fall starts. Dont worry.
Send an email to them giving your name and other course details with
date of birth with subject :" Urgent-Requesting UC Student ID" and
they will email you your id.

Also you can call them up as Chaitanya said. They are helpful. They
will ask you your name, address and date of birth and some other
details like sevisno to confirm u r id when u call up. They will tell
you your UC student id.

Relax and everything goes well. If u still have doubts add me to your
gmail chat and ask me. I will be online now till 12 in the night now.
