Greetings,
It turns out that I cannot escape my Feb 4th obligation. As a result,
I suggest we take that week off from the Alg & Theory group. Here is
the schedule that I have so far:
(complete) Fri.14.Jan: Orientation & Stephen talked about Game Tree
Evaluation
(complete) Fri.21.Jan: I talked about Hill Climbing vs. the LongPath
problem
(this week) Fri.28.Jan: Discussion on first three sections of Markov
Chains chapter (chap 11) from Introduction to Probabilities text.
Fri.4.Feb: NO MEETING
Fri.11.Feb: Guillermo will talk about a randomized min-cut algorithm
Fri.18.Feb: Stephen will talk about something super-cool, as yet
undisclosed
After that? TBD.
