to UCF Algorithms & Theory Group
Greetings,
Recall that we'd discussed getting together to talk about the
relatively short "Random Walks" chapter in the Grimstead and Snell
text; however, I don't think I'll be able to make it today. If any of
you all still want to meet, that's fine -- post a response back to the
group so others will know you will be there. Also, I'll send out a
notice to eecs-grad if I see such a response (or you can ... just let
me know).
Otherwise, if you don't hear from me or anyone else today, the default
assumption should be that today's Alg & Theory discussion is
cancelled. I apologize for the inconvenience.
The remaining schedule is:
* Fri.15.Apr, HEC 118, Paul Wiegand talks about weak graph coloring
* Fri.22.Apr, HEC 118, Stephen Fulwider talks about PageRank
I know we said that we should not meet during exam week, but I had the
following thought: Suppose I try to find a conference room to reserve
on or around 29.Apr, I order some pizza (if there aren't too many
people), and we just spend 30 minutes or so debriefing about what did
or didn't work over the semester to improve things for next year? Let
me know what you think about that idea, what schedule constraints you
might have, etc.
Thanks,
R. Paul Wiegand.
