Greetings,

The book I mentioned today in our meeting is:

Introduction to Probability
by Charles M. Grinstead & J. Laurie Snell

It is freely available via the GNU FDL, and can be downloaded at:
http://www.dartmouth.edu/~chance/teaching_aids/books_articles/probability_book/book.html

For our January 28th meeting, why don't we read from the start of
chapter 11 through 11.3 (pp. 405 -- 447). I encourage people to work
some exercises, if they have time and interest; however, it certainly
is not required.

Thanks,
R. Paul Wiegand.
