We owe many thanks to the following who made the party a successful and memorable event:

- UCD alumni and friends who attended the event, brought friendship, enthusiasm and great foods and drinks to the party. Thanks Thien Huong, Diep, Kim-Dung (Khai's girlfriend) and Mai Kha for your music contribution.

- Our awesome hosts Lan & Tracy who purchased and set up lights and tables/chairs, provided cake, drinks, beer and wine, and prepared the beautiful home for the party, etc.

- Tuan Ngo and his band members including a. Thong and his wife c. Minh (the three are current members of Oracle VNHV (Viet Nam Ham Vui) group), c. Bich Lien and others who sang and played music all evening and kept everyone on their feet dancing.

- My Oracle friends and members of VNHV group, Ha Phi (guitarist, VNHV group founder) and his wife Xuyen, Loc and his wife Tram (Vanessa)  (singers).

Hope you all enjoyed the evening. I surely did. It was excited and emotional to welcome Minh and Thanh who came to the reunion for the first time, and Thien Huong the 2nd time. I felt bad missing out all the van nghe events at UCD which started right after my graduation, but now feel really good after singing with the group Ngan thu ao tim and Nhung buoc chan am tham, and listened to Thien Huong's gifted voice. It's like walking down that precious memory lane once again, how beautiful!

We often organize lunches around Milpitas/San Jose areas; if you can participate please email me or Khai (khai...@gmail.com) your phone numbers. Khai will text you when lunches are scheduled.

Take care and see you soon.
Hon (Mike) Nguyen

Hi Hon,
Sorry, I could not make it to the party, it looks like fun.
Please add names to the pictures.
I do not recognize so many people, some of them are your friends from Oracle?
Is this Lân's house?
Thanks,
Dat

Hi Dat,
It has been over 5 years since you met the group (July 2009), and we do have new members joining over that period of time. For instance, Tuan Ngo and his wife Mai Kha, Minh and his wife Thanh, Diep's sister Chi, Thien Huong. We had a big group at the party even though we were missing many members this time. The whole Kojak team consisting of you, Minh and Hung was no show. I hope to have a lot more people joining next year, especially folks like yourself who live nearby. Mai Anh came a long way from Truckee and Tuan traveled from Sacramento, brought his whole band and musical instruments with them, and they entertained our group all evening, I'm really grateful. Friendship is hard to come by and seeing each other once a year is not much, that's why we also organize group lunches frequently. We'll announce next year's date early so hopefully more members, especially remote ones can plan ahead.

I can answer your questions at our next lunch meeting coming up this Friday or next (contact Khai for lunch info).

Thanks,
Hon
