I like the name "Danza Latina" seeing as it's free now. I guarantee we'll get a laugh!

I have a rather interesting idea...I really think a name in Spanish would be most fitting, especially as no other teams as far as I know will use a Spanish name.

I like "Jornado del Muerto". It means "The Journey of Death" or "Route of the Dead Man". I like it because for most of us it's our first time in a Salsa competition and the name is tinged with dark humour.

For any additional info. people want to give it more cultural background, it is actually the name given to a place in the Nevada desert by Conquistadors to a particularly dry route roughly 100 miles long; the name implying you run out of water, you run out of life. It was within this area that the Trinity site at Los Alamos was; the testing ground for the first atomic bomb and its creative birthplace.

If anyone thinks that suggestion too 'dry' then how about something with 'Fuego' in it...?

Okay, the Spanish is my main suggestion, but I do like the Jornado idea.

Anyone like this?

Ha yea, I think 'Danza Latina' or 'Latin Fuego' are both out.

Spanish does sound pretty cool...

journey of death seems bit too farfetched...

How about "La Murga"?

It means "The Murga", and the Murga is a theatre/dance in Latin countries. Seems pretty apt. Willie Colon and Hector Lavoe did an awesome Salsa classic about it.

Or we could have "La Murga Caliente" or something like that. My Spanish grammer isn't very good, so I don't know how that'd work.
