Hey all,
This week, we have TWO meetings: one on Tuesday and one on Thursday,
both at 5:30. And don't forget the philosophy film nights directly
following our meetings at 7!
This Tuesday, we are discussing a short story be Jorge Luis Borges,
Funes, the Memorious. This story is a memoir about a man named Funes
who could not forget. It builds heavily off the Nietzschian idea that
forgetting is a virtue and if nothing else is a great story written by
a master existential writer. A digital
copy can be accessed at

Immediately following Tuesday meeting (i.e. at 7 PM), is a film
showing hosted by Simon Sparks in NC 1312 with free pizza. This week,
they are watching Run Lola Run.
And this week, we are also we hosting a special discussion by UCD
faculty member Darryl Merhing who will discuss his forthcoming graphic
novel about Spinoza, Little Barry in Geometryland. It will be
Thursday, October 14th in the Honi Haber Library (PLM108) at 5:30 PM.
Hope to see you at all of these events!
