Hey all,

Two things.

First, a quick reminder: don't forget Darryl Mehring's discussion of
his in-progress graphic novel about Spinoza, "Little Barry in
Geometryland" this Thursday, October 14th at 5:30 in the Honi Haber
Library (PL M108).

Second, next Tuesday (October 19th) at 5:30 in the Honi Haber Library
(PL M108), we will be discussing a short essay from the book World of
Perception by Merleau-Ponty, "Man seen from the outside". It questions
Descartes' notion that our minds are separate from our bodies by
appealing to lived experience and asking the question, "If someone is
angry with me, where is their anger?" Is it in their mind as Descartes
says it is? The essay can be located on our Google groups page:
http://groups.google.com/group/ucdphilosophyclub/files and is called
"MPonty-Man From the Outside.pdf"

Hope to see you tomorrow and next Tuesday at 5:30 in the Honi Haber
Library (PL M108).
