UCD Friends,

It's been about 15 years since we all graduated and for many, our career and lives have changed. For some, we got married and have children, and for others, remain single and enjoying every bit of the moment without someone nagging.  As we parted our ways, some remained connected and for others it's challenging to stay in touch.

It would be wonderful to maintain the youth and friendship beyond facebook by meeting annually at a location where we can reconnect and our children can interact playfully. Thus, we are thinking of having 1st potluck picnic event Sunday August 15th at a park (TBD). We will also have games where families will be able to bond.

Let us know ASAP if you are interested so we can setup evite to track attendees and food. I also welcome any recommendation on a park (Almaden, Hellyer, Danville, etc..).  Base on number of responses, evite will be sent out mid this week.

Regards,
Trong

Well said, Trong!  Please count us in.  Thanks for organizing the picnic.   Whichever park you choose is fine with us.
Son and Van.

Sounds fun. For single people, it's easy. Just tell us when and where and we will be there. Hope everyone is doing well. All the kids are big now huh? Can't wait to see everyone.

Sounds like we a conformity. Please feel free to forward to any other UCD friends who are interested.

I will be sending an evite tonight/tomorrow; however, I've listed 4 parks that like to have a vote on... Would like to hear from you as to which park you like to meet up.

Almaden Lake Park, Almaden Expressway and Coleman, CD10 **

http://www.sjparks.org/regional/almadenlake.asp

-       One of prime spots for south SJ residences where there’s plenty of picnics and small lake/beach area for kids to swim and rental boat. There’s a fee for entrance. This year however, the swim area is closed due to agae that can be harmful for the kids.

Palmia Park, Primrose and Palmia, CD2

http://www.sjparks.org/neighborhood/palmia.asp

-       Located near our home one of our park locations where we usally take the kids and play VB with our friends.  There is a large field where we can setup volleyball/soccer games and/or fly kites.  There’s also 2 basketball courts and play area for kids.  Limited number of picnic tables.

Cataldi Park, Cataldi and Morrill, CD4

http://www.sjparks.org/neighborhood/cataldi.asp

-       Saw the reviews that many people love to come here. I personally haven’t been here but heard about the park.

Del Valle

http://www.ebparks.org/parks/del_valle

-       Located in Livermore but have plenty of activities to do with various boat rentals, plenty of picnic areas, and place for swimming as well.  It's about 50 minutes drive from San Jose.

Regards,

Trong

Yen, You can still stop by after the tahoe trip.
